After submitting an application for the Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP), individuals who meet all of the requirements, including education and experience, will be eligible to sit for the examination. An applicant must pass the HS-BCPE to receive the HS-BCP certification.

You may submit an application at any time. Once your payment has been processed, CCE will review your application within approximately 10 business days. Upon approval of your application, CCE will send examination registration information to you. The examination is administered via computer-based testing (CBT) at numerous centers in every state and at international locations.

CCE holds applications open for three years, during which applicants can test a maximum of three times, with a minimum three-month wait between examinations.

Students enrolled in participating programs can register for and take the HS-BCPE prior to graduation, without applying for the HS-BCP at the time of the examination. The school will provide the necessary private access code (PAC) and voucher number prior to registration. For more information, see the student information page.
