United States Maintaining Your Credential

Credential Maintenance Requirements

The GCDF credential is valid for five years as long as you comply with CCE policies and procedures. GCDF credential holders desiring to keep their credential must pay annual maintenance fees and recredential at the end of five years. The chart below summarizes the steps you must take each year to maintain your credential with the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE).

*A late fee of $15 will be applied if annual maintenance fee is not paid by due date.

Audit Selection

Each year, CCE randomly audits 10 percent of GCDFs due for recredentialing. Documentation of 75 hours of continuing education will need to be submitted along with a signed recertification notice. Your recertification notice will indicate audit selection.

  • To document clock hours for continuing education, please use your application in the Credentialing Gateway.

Ethics Adherence

Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential holders must adhere to the GCDF Code of Ethics at all times. All credential holders will attest to their adherence to the GCDF Code of Ethics with the recredentialing notice. This form also contains a reminder for credential holders to provide written disclosures to CCE in the event that they become the subject of a legal, criminal or disciplinary matter. These written disclosures must be submitted to CCE within 60 days of becoming aware of the charge or complaint. For questions relating to ethics, please e-mail ethics@cce-global.org.
