 South Carolina Application and Education Review for Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Marriage and Family Therapist Intern A passing score on the Marriage and Family Therapy Examination (MFT) is required for you to be licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist or a Marriage and Family Thereapist Intern in the state of South Carolina. This examination is administered by Professional Examination Service (PES). For more information go to http://www.amftrb.org/exam.cfm or call 1-212-367-4389. An examination registration packet will be forwarded to applicants upon eligibility. The PES Examination fee is $224 Candidates have the opportunity to take the Exam three times a year with each administration spanning a four week window of time at testing locations offered through Prometric-Thomson Learning Centers. The upcoming testing windows are listed below. In order for your LMFT or LMFT-I application to be reviewed in time to meet the Prometric-Thomson exam registration deadlines, your application must arrive at CCE no later than nine weeks prior to the starting date of the preferred testing window.
Special Accommodations request must be approved by the South Carolina Board. Request must be in writing with supporting documentation at the time application is submitted to CCE.
